                         昨日はかぞくのアトリエ、アートスクールでの初ワークショップ。
　　　　　　　　　おかあさんの受講に一緒に来ていたこどもたち。
　　　　　　　　　ペーパービーズを巻く、というのは難しいけど
　　　　　　　　　糊付けしたりマニキュアを塗るのをお手伝い。
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　ほんとうに上手。

　　　　　　　　　いろいろなことを、私が教えてもらいました。

Night at the museum

Finally I could go to the exhibition

"American Pop Art - From the John and Kimiko Powers Collection".

I wish the space were a bit bigger 

so that we could see big art works from a distance.

but, hey, the collection is stunning !

I appreciate we can see such a great show here in Tokyo.

今日も残暑が厳しい日曜日。

ほぼひと月後にある、かぞくのアトリエでのアートスクール用に

もう少し、ペーパービーズのサンプルをつくりためておく事にした。

紙の厚みや、印刷によって、またつくりたいシェイプによって

工程自体はシンプルだけれど、手が慣れるまでは

実は大人でも、根気のいる地味な作業。

ものをつくる楽しさと、単純作業を根気よく続けること。

ちょっとでも楽しく学べるクラスにできたらいいな、と思っています。

Miyazaki's movie

No way, it's STILL hot. 

OK, let me go to a theater!

I saw Miyazaki's documentary on TV few days ago

and wanted to see his latest movie "The Wind Rises"(Kaze Tachinu).

I'm not a big fan of Ghibli, so I haven't seen all of his movies.

( I LOVE 'Spirited Away', by the way)

but after I watched the one,  this was my one of the best of Miyazaki.

What are you looking at?

Because my room is no longer air-conditioned,

he is finally my roomy again.

It's interesting that cats like a hot, stuffy room.

He doesn't like to be photographed either.

If he notices I have a camera or iPhone,

he looks the other way or closes his eyes!

Ginza again

Several major streets in Tokyo are closed to vehicles during weekends.

Chu-ou street in Ginza is one of them.

I went to Qualia Junction to take a lecture

"The absolute God and part-time gods"today.

I did need caffein, and I knew where I should go!

Because it was already dinner time, the cafe wasn't crowded.

My friend brought me here once. After that, I'm also the one of fans of their coffee.

I heard John Lennon and Yoko Ono loved their traditional coffee "Paulista Old"

and they came here for the coffee 3 days straight.

It was already dark when I left the cafe.

Ginza has remained of Showa period.

I love it.

今日は、世田谷美術館での「柚木沙弥郎 - いのちの旗じるし」最終日。

いろいろなルートがあるのだが、成城学園前からバスで行く事にした。

バスを降りるとき、わたしの前にいた小学生の女の子が

大きな声で「ありがとうございました」と運転手に向かって言った。

彼女はバスに乗っていた人みんなを、

幸せな気持ちにしたと思う。

バスを降りたは良いが、右も左もわからない。

初老の男性をつかまえて道を尋ねる。

目印もないし、道も入り組んでいるのでわかりにくいんだけど、

といいながら、暑い中、丁寧に教えてくださった。

今日は、気持ちのいいひとによく出会う。

言われたように、言われた方角へ、住宅街を縫って歩く。

わかりづらい場所に来ると決まって、美術館はこっち、の看板があった。

街全体が心地よい。

おかげさまで、迷う事なく世田谷美術館がある砧公園に到着。

展覧会場の最後の作品群を眺めていた時、出口のほうから

柚木先生がおひとりで、ゆっくりと入っていらした。

すれ違い様にこんにちは、とご挨拶すると

こんにちは、とお返事してくださった。

次に先生は、監視をされている女性に

ここは寒いでしょう、僕が交代しますよ、と話しかけられた。

彼女も先生に、ありがとうございます、

でもわたしたちは順番に交代していますので大丈夫です、

お心遣いに感謝します、と丁寧に返す。

今日は本当に、気持ちのいい日曜日。

They have gotten this pin made by itomono, and I guess it's a bear.

I couldn't help but fall in love with this guy.

Japanese embroidery sampler by my grandmother

French embroidery kit and illustration (1960's?)

My mother showed me the sampler that my grandmother made.

I actually didn't know she liked needlework.

母が嫁入りの際に持ってきたという

母方の祖母の刺繍キットやらサンプラーなんかを出してきた。

元々、母の生家は養蚕や藍染めをしていたので

絹糸で彼女が刺繍をしていたとしてもまったく自然なことだが、

記憶の中になかったので、驚いてしまった。

わたしは刺繍や編み物はあまりしたことがないが

こういうのを見ると、気持ちが揚がる。

kazoku no atelier

"Kazoku no Atelier" just opened today !

今日がお披露目ということで、

渋谷区こども・親子支援センター

かぞくのアトリエへ。

おやこきょうしつ、アートスクール、プレイルーム、

おやこサロンに、あけびの庭。

上の写真がアトリエ。

わたしが１０月にひとつ講座をするスペース。

わたしもこどもの頃、児童館で気が済むまで

本を読んだり、絵を描いたりしていたものだ。

ぬりえをしていたこどもたちを見ていたら

それだけでテンションがあがってしまった。

今度はわたしが、あの頃してもらったことを伝える番。

うんと楽しんでもらえるように備えたい。

でもきっとわたしのほうが、たくさんのことを

こどもたちから教わるだろう。

when I had had a same problem before.

Vows made in storms are forgotten in calms.

ということで、また杖を引っ張りだして

ヨレヨレと歩いている始末。

ちょっと調子が良くなると、いい気になって

身体のシグナルを無視するから、こんな目にあう。

本当に腰は大事です。
