The Power of Song

           

        アメリカのフォーク歌手で、 フォーク・リバイバル運動の中心人物である
                            ピート・シーガーのドキュメンタリーフィルムです。
                        ちょっと長くて、字幕もないのですが、ご紹介したくて。

                        　               後半の部分で、学校でこどもたちと
                        "This Land Is Your Land"を一緒に歌う場面が出てきますが、
　　　　　                 そこで彼が語った一節が印象に残りました。

                               ”Participation - that's what's gonna save the human race.
                     And I still prefer to sing in schools than almost any other single place.
                    You can't feel completely like giving up if you see all those little faces,
             　　　              can't say there's no hope. Got to keep trying. ”
