My friend Asako has been in Tokyo and
she brought bunch of great stuff from US especially Brooklyn, NY.

                           Today is the last day, though, her pop-up shop info is as follows ;

Night at the museum

Finally I could go to the exhibition
"American Pop Art - From the John and Kimiko Powers Collection".

I wish the space were a bit bigger
so that we could see big art works from a distance.
but, hey, the collection is stunning !
I appreciate we can see such a great show here in Tokyo.

They are open till 20:00 on Fridays.

and then, we went to the museum shop.
They have a great selection.
I highly recommend you visit here, and
I myself must come back to find some gifts!

For today, I got this hanky embroidered with NY icons.

preparing for the class

making paper beads is kind of meditation..

made samples in many shapes, colors and different papers
for the kid's art class in Oct

Miyazaki's movie

No way, it's STILL hot.
OK, let me go to a theater!

I saw Miyazaki's documentary on TV few days ago
and wanted to see his latest movie "The Wind Rises"(Kaze Tachinu).

I'm not a big fan of Ghibli, so I haven't seen all of his movies.
( I LOVE 'Spirited Away', by the way)
but after I watched the one,  this was my one of the best of Miyazaki.
